**MEET A MEMBER MONDAY**
Bob Newbold has been an active member of NCC since 1992, serving on the board as president and is currently the moderator of our Newington 7AM Network. “I feel the 7am Network is the Newington Chamber’s Crown Jewel. Each week 20-30 business owners meet to build relationships, make friends and share their knowledge.”
Bob is an independent insurance agent at Thomas Fahy Insurance Agency, Inc., where he loves working with young families by showing them ‘new-bold’ ways of saving money for their family and businesses.
On March 20, 2017, Bob’s life was rocked by a stroke when without warning, he lost the use of his right side and his ability to speak. Bob made a miraculous recovery and has made it his mission to educate people of the importance of recognizing the signs of a stroke. Bob has given over 70 presentations of A Stroke of Luck to churches, schools, hospitals, and other organizations. He has received national, statewide, and local recognition for his outreach efforts. It is his wish that anyone who has a stroke can be as blessed as he has been.

Bob and his wife Pat, have proudly been Newington residents since 1978, and have raised two sons in town. He is always thinking of others, with a natural knack for bringing people together with a helping hand.
